AMD Ryzen Threaadripper continues to use the same 4,094 pin processor socket as the previous generation but has now upped it’s game by offering twice as many cores and threads. To put this into context the AMD Ryzen Threadripper processor range shook the market in 2017 by offering 16 cores 32 threads making it the most powerful none enterprise class processor the world had ever seen. Now they are leaping forward again offering up to 32 Cores and 64 Threads from a single processor. Clock speeds have not been been compromised either as this solution still outputs 3.0GHz at base and 4.2GHz max boost frequency or higher, ensuring you still maintain impressive single threaded, as well as multi threaded performance.
Also new to this generation is the ability to further increase performance via the new ‘Precision Boost Overdrive’ features. This further extends the AMD Precision Boost 2 technology allowing your system to dynamically increase performance should conditions such as thermals and power flow allow for it.
