By utilizing the very latest Intel® Core™ micro architecture (Intel LGA1156 Core i5 7xx & Core i7 8xx series) our WS1400 series of workstations has been uniquely developed to provide a powerful, yet energy efficient performance experience for today's leading 3D CAD & Digital Content applications (AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks, Catia, ProEngineer, SolidEdge, 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema4D, Rhino, Lightwave, Softimage etc).

By harnessing the best of today's quad-core processing power our WS1400 series offers the best of both worlds with complex single and multi-threaded software applications. If single threaded software is used (3D CAD Design/Modelling, 3D VFX Modelling/Viewport etc) the workstation automatically recognise's that CPU cores are left idle. It will then reduce the GHz clock speed or turn off these unused cores and with the power savings made, dynamically clock up (over clock) the main CPU core. This will allow single threaded software to operate much faster and provide users with a much quicker return of investment.

NB: When all four cores are active the CPU runs at its standard GHz clock speed (across all four cores) with a more modest speed increase (if required).
